Rental Plan
This is a three month rental contract. At the time of rental, the first three month payment at the rate listed below plus 6% use tax on the rental principle is due. The next payment is due in three months and the contract will automatically extend upon receipt of the next scheduled rental payment. This contract may be terminated at the end of any rental period with no penalty, provided the rental payments are current and the article(s) are returned in the same condition as rented. Upon return or termination of this contract the customer is relieved of any right to the return of any portion of payment previously made on this contract, except for refundable deposits.100% of the principle paid will apply to the purchase price of the article(s) described below. The article(s) on this contract may be traded in and the credit applied to any other instrument in our store of similar or higher value, provided the original article(s) are returned in the same condition as rented.
Payments
This rental agreement is in effect on the date rented, and payment is due on the same day of every third month until the article(s) described below are returned or traded in to Wilson fine violins or the total principle has been paid in full. Payments and partial payments will be applied first to any late fees, then to maintenence and insurance plans, and the balance applied to the rental principle. There is no penalty for prepayment. Prepayments will be applied as above unless special arrangements are made with the billing department.
Maintenance
A portion of the rental payment applies toward a maintenance plan. The maintenance plan included in every contract covers usual repairs to keep the article in working, playing condition. Renter will not have to pay for normal wear of instrument or bow while coverage is in effect, provided the instructions on the Wilson fine violins Care and Feeding sheet were followed. Wilson fine violins will:

• Adjust / Replace Fine Tuners • Adjust Soundpost • Glue Open Seams
• Adjust / Replace Tailgut • Adjust Bow Eyelet • Replace End Button
• Adjust pegs • Adjust Chinrest • Plane or Dress Fingerboard
• Adjust String Height At Bridge • Some customization requested by teachers
Maintenance coverage does NOT cover string replacement, rehair or major damage of any kind.
Maintenance coverage ends when the instrument is paid off or returned
Insurance
The renter is responsible for protecting the article(s) against theft, loss, malicious destruction, and damage of any kind. Wilson fine violins strongly suggests insuring the article(s) listed below. An Optional Insurance Plan can be added to this contract for violin or viola. If you choose not to purchase our Optional Insurance Plan, we suggest a rider on your home owner’s or renter’s policy for the coverage of your rented musical instrument. Rented article(s) are NOT insured by Wilson fine violins unless the Optional Insurance Plan is purchased at the time of rental.
Wilson fine violins will repair or replace, at our discretion, a rental instrument if damaged or lost, provided the instructions on the Wilson fine violins Care and Feeding sheet were followed.
Instruments lost or damaged in theft, fire, or accident will be repaired or replaced. Fire department and/ or police department reports are required.
Major instrument and bow repairs are covered.
Damage resulting from abuse or negligence (as determined by Wilson fine violins) will not be covered.
At no time will a renter be entitled to monetary compensation or reimbursement of part of this insurance policy.
Insurance claims are subject to a deductible; see rental contract or store for deductible schedule.
Insurance coverage does not cover devaluation of an instrument for the purposes of trade in. Repaired damage to your instrument may affect your trade in value, or may be due upon return of rental.
Insurance coverage ends when instrument is paid off. Wilson fine violins is unable to extend coverage to instruments owned by customers.

Exclusions
If any of the following conditions are met, the renter is not eligible for the benefits of the maintenance and insurance plans.
Instructions on the Wilson fine violins Care and Feeding sheet were not followed.
A repair on the instrument was performed or attempted by any individual or business other than Wilson fine violins.
Any portion of any rental payment is more than 30 days past due.
Instrument cases and strings are not covered by maintenance or insurance plans.
Wilson fine violins will make the final determination as to the necessity of any replacement, repair or adjustment.
Ownership
The items listed below are the property of Wilson Fine Violins until all items are paid for in full. The renter has no right to sell, sublease, mortgage, pawn, pledge, encumber or otherwise dispose of items unless all items listed in this contract have been paid for in full
Condition
The renter is responsible for maintaining the articles(s) listed below in their current condition, and for returning the article(s) to their original condition after the article(s) are returned. This includes new bridge, new strings, new bow hair, repair of any damage, etc. Detailed descriptions and photographs of existing damage are kept on file.
Late Accounts
The renter is responsible for timely payment. Accounts more than 30 days past due may be charged to renter’s credit card, and a $10 account maintenance fee will be charged per month late. Wilson fine violins reserves the right to collect any article(s) on accounts more than 90 days past due. Accounts more than 90 days past due will be sent to our collection agency and may be charged an extra 25% of all monies due.
